Leaving the hotel with two small children at 6am is a small price to pay to get to witness the wonder of the feeding program. The children that live at Sovanapoom Care put on the service to what they call the poor people. It is interesting to watch God use even those with next to nothing to impact someone else with even less. It rings true that there is always someone else worse off than yourself. Ryan was in there again, handing out noodles, as were Stan and Lori. The rest of us stand in awe at the number of people and the efficiency of this program.
James and Nathanial left the boys with some projects on the playground equipment for Saturday. They got all of that accomplished and more! You can see by the pictures that the equipment is close to completion. They are going to start working on the big swing today. I cant wait to get pictures of the kids all over that stuff!!
We headed back to the city to meet up with the Carraways, a couple that we know through friends (hi Keisa and Trisha!!) that are serving here. We attended a small home based church that they go to and LOVED it. Afterward we had lunch with them and got to visit about what New Tribes is doing in Cambodia. The conversation was facinating. We look forward to spending more time with them before we go home.
We are enjoying reading your blog. Sorry that James and the kids have been sick. We hope everyone is feeling better. We are really excited to hear about Ryan! Take care, We'll be in touch, Clancy and Stephen

ReplyDeleteHow awesome that Ryan accepted the Lord! That alone makes the whole trip worth it. James, we are praying for you. Remember the song, "Thank-you for giving to the Lord" when you get discouraged. Amber, way to go venturing out in the tuktuk. I think of myself as adventurous and I don't know that I would have tried it.
